Our Story
We went to high school together. Knew the same people, dated a few times, nothing big. Who would've thought a few years later a quick stop with my best friend Marlyne would lead us to bump into each other again, and the rest......is history.
June 29, 2007
Chris wanted to celebrate our 6 month anniversary going up North to Mike Stevanovic's cottage. He tells me we're going to dinner downtown before we head up north, but he won't tell me where. We end up at the 360 restaurant at the CN Tower. I felt so relaxed and spoiled because I was getting a nice dinner and going away for the weekend! Chris on the other hand looked kind of anxious. We sit down for dinner, I notice that his palms are VERY sweaty! The waiter came over with two glasses of champagne! Mine had bubbles? I do a double-take on the glass...and I see something in the bottom of the flute. I look at Chris and his face was sweating and beet red. That's when he proposed, on top of the world looking over lake Ontario. I was so nervous I couldn't eat my meal!! We were both on our phones for the next hour telling everyone the good news as we were heading up north to celebrate!
